Tuesday 20th February - bike *** – Two rivers, Orwell to the Deben – cloudy.

Walk *** Around Felixstowe.

There was a good breeze from the sw forcaast today and as I missed yesterdays wind I was keen to give it a go but the wind was slow to build which gave me time to do my exercises. Thenn with the breeze picking up a little I decided to head over to Levington to check the conditions just as Maeva arrived with her mum after the toddlers they were going to was closed for half term! I arrived at the marina around 10.30 and it did not look very inspiring not helped by the cloudy sky. I was marginal at best so I waited for a large tug pulling a large platform towards Ipswich to get a few pics then decided to head home to see the Granddaughter stopping off briefly at the Trimley Churches to get some daff pics. Maeva had a sleep before we had a walk around the town and onto the clifftop to see the sea before visiting ann old friend Mary for a chat and cuppa. Then home as Maevas dad was picking her up at 2.15.

Bike ***

I then decided to head out on my bike even though the breeze had picked up to over 20 knots, looks like I arrived at the marina an hour too early but never mind as we have several windy days, sadly tomorrow is looking very wet:( I did my usual two rivers route through Langer Park to the view point with a boat once again planing the riverbed. With a tail wind I whizzed through Langer Nature Reserve but had to slow down once I reached the busy prom. Around to the quieter prom at The Dip leading to the Ferry, around the boatyard and home for a cuppa and free donut from Lidl:)
